K2Tog-Uniting the Community through Needleworks

Announcing our community service program - K2Tog - that we hope you'll participate in over the next year.

Creative Fibers LLC is committed to the community; both the knitting/crochet/spinning community, and the community we live in. This year we will be using our talents to support a number of community projects. We’re very excited about this opportunity to serve others.

This year, K2Tog will focus on four key areas: 

- Clothing for Preemies:  K2Tog will sponsor activities designed to inspire you and others to create tiny items for these 1 - 5 pound infants.

• Hartford NICU - Hartford, CT
• Manchester NICU - Manchester, CT
• St. Francis NICU - Hartford, CT
• UCONN NICU - Farmington, CT

 - Project Linus: This national organization donates blankets to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.  Stay tuned for news as K2Tog builds support for the local chapter in the creation of knit squares or complete blankets.                 (Project Linus Link)

- Early Years Enrichment Program: To help our little ones develop necessary and important small motor skills, K2Tog is looking to partner with the Windsor Family Resource Center to offer needle-arts activities.

- Middle School Knitting Program: K2Tog is investigating an after school enrichment program to direct our teens to using their hands and time in a constructive and skillful manner.
